svvc logo20The Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club was founded back in 1968 and became a Company limited by guarantee in 1988.

We are the organisers behind Scottish Transport Extravaganza, which is now in its 37th year.  From humble beginnings back in 1968 the club has gone from strength to strength over the years to become one of the premier events of its kind in the UK.

This has been no mean feat and is solely down to the dedication of all Committee Members, Club Members and Helpers past and present who have helped to build the event to what it is today. Should you wish to become a member, please contact the club offices or download an application form.

Bridge View House is the new headquarters for the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club Ltd. It has taken a huge effort over a number of years to raise the money and build purpose built premises for all the club activities.

Office space, a workshop and showroom are all incorporated in the new building, which SVVC administrator Lesley Munro said was a tribute to the commitment and enthusiasm of the club directors and volunteers.

“This is the perfect location because we are so close at hand to everything connected with the extravaganza and it is in a very popular part of Angus,” said Lesley.

The club has already hosted a very successful Demonstration  Day with one of the UK's leading suppliers of vehicle cleaning products and has just held the extremely successful auction of the late Freddie Cunningham collection of vehicles and spares, which attracted buyers from all over the world.

The building was completed at the end of March and will now be available to all new and existing members. It also has a dedicated meeting room available to local clubs and organisations. For rates and availability please contact the club office.
